We are pleased to announce that Mr. David Wiest will serve as interim principal of Saint Patrick School for the start of the 2024-2025 academic year. Mr. Wiest has worked as a part-time middle school math teacher at Saint Patrick School for the past three years. Last year, he took on an additional administrative role as assistant to the principal. While serving as interim principal, he will continue to teach one middle school math course.

Previously, Mr. Wiest taught for seven years at Bishop McDevitt High School as a math teacher and was also the chair of the Mathematics Department.

Mr. Wiest defended his dissertation this past spring and will graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction this December. Mr. Wiest also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Drake University and a Master of Science in Special Education from Mercyhust University. 

He has two daughters attending Saint Patrick School.
