At Saint Patrick School, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community and involvement within our school.
Our Cafeteria Volunteer Program contributes to the smooth operation of lunchtime and offers a wonderful chance for parents and family members to actively engage with their children's school journey. Your involvement can positively impact the school community and create lasting memories for you and your child.
Thank you for considering being a part of this valuable program!
Cafeteria duty begins at 10:15 AM and wraps up at approximately 12:45 PM.
Each grade is assigned specific months during the school year to assist with cafeteria duties.
Families will receive an email from their child's homeroom parent with information on how to sign up for lunch duty.
We ask each family to volunteer three times throughout the school year (not per child).
You're more than welcome to volunteer more frequently if your schedule permits.
If your work commitments prevent you from volunteering, please feel free to arrange for grandparents, aunts, uncles, or family friends to help you.
No special clearances are necessary for volunteering in the cafeteria.
As a lunch volunteer, you'll play an important role in creating a positive lunchtime experience for the students. Your responsibilities include:
Assisting Students: Help students navigate the computerized lunch program and make their lunch selections.
Distributing Condiments: Provide condiments to students as needed.
Supervision: Monitor the lunchroom and assist the supervising teacher if necessary. This might involve helping students with various needs.
Questions: Contact the school office at (717) 249-4826 or [email protected].
