Here are some commonly asked questions to shed light on the significance of background checks and their role in volunteering at our school:
Which volunteers require a Diocesan Clearance? Individuals who intend to volunteer and want to chaperone field trips or coach a sport are required to obtain a Diocesan Clearance. This does not include Cafeteria Volunteers.
What constitutes a Diocesan Clearance? A Diocesan Clearance is obtained by possessing a valid Diocesan Badge issued in the individual's name or submitting 4 or 5 necessary documents to the parish. Upon clearance, an email from the parish will confirm their status.
How long does it take to receive a Diocesan Clearance? The clearance process typically takes up to 2-4 weeks to complete.
